Platforms
Works where
your site already lives.
No migration, no rebuild, no new host. Ascent connects to the site you have and publishes real pages to your own domain, where the authority accrues to you and the content stays yours forever.
WordPress
Half the internetConnects with an application password, the authorization method built into WordPress itself. No plugin to install, nothing to update, nothing that can conflict with your theme.
Pages arrive through the official WordPress interface with images, meta tags and structured data in place. In review mode they land as drafts you approve yourself.
GitHub
For static and custom sitesSign in with GitHub, pick the repository your site deploys from, done. The agent commits complete pages, and your existing hosting picks them up exactly like your own changes.
Framework projects are detected automatically and pages are placed where your build serves them. Every publish is a commit, so your history shows every change forever.
Lovable
Built with AI, invisible to AILovable sites connect through the GitHub repository every Lovable project can sync to. Link the repo once inside Lovable, connect it here, and publishing flows automatically.
Lovable sites are rendered by JavaScript, and AI crawlers like the ones behind ChatGPT and Perplexity do not run JavaScript. The pages the agent adds are plain HTML on your domain, which makes them the part of your site AI engines can actually read and cite.
FTP and SFTP
Everything elseClassic hosting like GoDaddy, HostGator, Bluehost or any cPanel server connects with the file transfer credentials your host already gives you.
The agent uploads finished pages straight to your web root, verifies the live URL afterward, and never touches a file it did not create.
A note on Wix
Wix does not allow outside software to add pages to a site: no usable interface, no file access. That is a Wix restriction, not a setting, and we would rather tell you now than after you sign up. If your site is on Wix, Ascent can build you a fresh site it can publish to, or you can keep Wix for what it does and point a new domain at pages we manage.
Why real pages on your domain matter
Some tools bolt a hosted blog onto a subdomain, or inject articles with a JavaScript snippet. Both keep your content on someone else's server: cancel, and it vanishes. Injected content is worse, because AI crawlers never see it at all. Ascent publishes files to the website you own. Stop paying and every page stays live, because it was always yours.
